CENTAL MINNESOTA MAT RATS REPORT (18 ANNUAL)

(End of Regular Season)

MAT RATS CLASS A TEAMS
ATWATER-COSMOS-GROVE CITY FALCONS
The Falcons topped No. 5A Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 49-14 and Section 5A rival Paynesville 55-12. They topped Section 5A foe Howard Lake/Waverly/Winsted 63-12 and AA Rockford 69-9. The Falcons topped their AAA neighbor to the east Litchfield 40-21. They traveled to Sauk Rapids for a quadrangular where they topped AAA Sauk Rapids 62-4 and AA Lean and Mean Milaca 50-19, before falling to AAA Brainerd 39-32. Robert Rasmussen, Derek Dengerud, Logan Petreson, Larry Bomstad, Maverick Whitcomb and Jacob Peterson were all 3-0 at the quadrangular. Congratulations to Lee Whitcomb and Maverick Whitcomb on their 75th career wins.

KERKHOVEN-MURDOCK-SUNBURG FIGHTING SAINTS
The Fighting Saints topped Section 3A neighbor Benson 61-15, Class A Paynesville 60-12 and AA Fergus Falls 43-18. They dropped a dual to No. 2A Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 49-14. They had two very strong tournament performances, they earned second place at the Alexandria "Big Ole" Invitational with 188.5 points and ten placing in the top four. Cody Peters, Zach Carlson and Jordon Rothers all won championships and Jordan Engler and Chase Norton both earned second place. Nick Meyer, Austin Rothrs, Fred Mansfield and Aaron Collins all earned third place and Kyle Baker earned fourth place. They were edged out by a half of a point by Lean and mean AAA Moorhead and they topped Frazee by the same margin. All three teams were missing a couple of starters at this event. They topped the field of teams at the Morris Area "Tiger" Invitational with 264.5 points all fourteen placing in the top five. The Fighting Saints won six championships; Nick Meyer, Cody Peters, Zach Carlson, Jordon Rothers, Austin Rothers and Chase Norton. Caleb Collins, Kyle Baker, Karter VanHeuveln, Jorge Munoz-Peterson and Jordan Engler all earned second place. Aaron Collins earned third place, Fred Mansfield and Travis Lamecker both earned fourth place and Casey Thorson took fifth place.

KIMBALL AREA CUBS
The Cubs topped four section 5A foes; Osakis 51-19, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 43-22, Howard Lake/Waverly/Winsted 59-15 and Long Prairie/Grey Eagle 63-18. The Cubs topped Central Minnesota Conference foe Rockford 65-12 to earn a tie in the Central Minnesota Conference with Holdingford and Pierz. Special congratulations to Marcus Hamer on his 175th career and Travis Wills on his 100th career win.

HOLDINGFORD HUSKERS
The Huskers topped Section 7A rival Royalton 47-26 and Central Minnesota Conference rivals Pierz 29-28 and Eden Valley-Watkins 59-15. They topped Class A foe Paynesville 57-21 and West Central Area 57-20. The Huskers earned a piece of the championship in the Central Minnesota Conference with their wins over Pierz and Eden Valley-Watkins. Their win over Pierz also earned them the number 1 seed in the Section 7A dual meet tournament. The Huskers topped three foes to win the Rogers "Royal" Rumble, they defeated Section 7A foe Mille Lacs 59-11 in the quarterfinals and in the semifinals they topped AAA Rogers 59-11. In the championship they topped AAA foe Eagan 56-21. Zach and Trevor Scott, Kyle Gerads, Jordan Gombos and Nathan Brinker were all 3-0 at the Royal Rumble.

PIERZ PIONEERS
The Pioneers topped Central Minnesota Conference foes Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 46-25 and Howard Lake/Waverly/Winsted 69-7. They dropped their final conference dual to section 7A rival Holdingford 29-28. This dual loss gave the Pioneers a three way tie for the Central Minnesota Conference. They topped section 7A foes Aitkin 50-14 and Minneapolis Patrick Henry 59-13. The Pioneers completed their regulars season with a pair of wins over AA Staples-Motley 53-16 and Browerville 67-7. Congratulations to Chris Ortman on his 75th career win.

UNITED NORTH CENTRAL WARRIORS
The Warriors topped Park Region Conference rival Prairie Valley 69-9 and section 5A foe Minnewaska 61-12. They had an impressive tournament performance with 194 points and five placing in the top five; to earn second place at the Park Region Conference tournament. Jake Malone, Max Pajari and Dylan Huttunen all won championships and Taylor Carlson earned second place. Sam Tellers and Mike Johnson both earned third place, Tommy Tellers and Tanner Bacon both earned fourth place and Tyler Eckman took fifth place.  They were just 3.5 points behind the leader New York Mills. Head Coach Kris Koll was name the Park Region Coach of the 2012-2013 season. They dropped their final regular season dual to Section 8A; No. 3A ranked Frazee 51-9.

BORDER WEST BUCCANEERS
The Buccaneers topped section 6A foe Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale 39-31 and Section 3A neighbor Ortonville 59-18 and AA Morris Area 50-21. They did drop a dual to Section 6A and No. 8A ranked Barnesville 55-12. They were missing a couple of their ranked wrestlers for a couple events; but they are back in the line up now.

BELGRADE-BROOTEN-ELROSA JAGUARS
The Jaguars topped section 5A foes Osakis 33-30 and Howard Lake/Waverly/Winsted 69-7. They did drop duals to Central Minnesota Conference rivals Pierz 46-25 and Kimball 43-22. They topped section 6A foe Prairie Valley 49-18. The Jaguars topped off their regular season with a great team performance as they earned 227.5 points and had twelve place in the top five to win the Prairie Valley "Knighthawks" Invitational. Josey Tensen, Tyler Tensen, Colby Schramel, Alex Schramel and Patrick Rooney all won championships. Austin Jaeger, Matt Schmitz and Marshall Zachman all earned second place, Ben Feuerhake earned third place, Lee Borgerding earned fourth place and Joe Reiler and Caleb Voss both took fifth place.

NEW YORK MILLS EAGLES
The Eagles topped Section 8A foe Walker-Hackensack-Ackley-Nevis 66-6 and Section 6A rival Wadena-Deer Creek 51-18. The Eagles had a tremendous team performance as they earned 197.5 points and had twelve place in the top five to win the Park Region Conference championship by just 3.5 points. Shane Novak, Kacee Skoog and Tyler Patron all won championships and Austin Haman, Tyler Ehnert, Gunner Flynn and Noah Pesola all earned second place. This was Shane Novak's fifth Park Region Conference Championship. Andrew Perala and Max Carlson both earned third place, Taylor Ericksrud earned fourth place and Taylor Thompson and Sam Erckenbrak both took fifth place. The Eagles topped Osakis for the Park Region Conference Dual meet championship 39-27.

OSAKIS SILVERSTREAKS
The Silverstreaks dropped Section 5A duals to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 33-30 and to Kimball 51-19. They had a good tourney performance with 139.5 points and eight place winners in the top four to earned third place at the Park Region Conference tournament. Brandon and Trenton Coyer both won championships and Austin Rollog earned second place. Bryan Engfer, Brandon Spanswick and Grant Scherr all earned third place and Peter Hagen and Nick Bennett both earned fourth place. The Silverstreaks dropped the Park Region Conference championship dual to New York Mills 39-27. They completed their regular season with a good tournament performance with 138.5 points and nine in the top five to earn fourth place at the Albany "Purple Pride" Invitational. Trenton Coyer, Brendon Coyer and Garret Scherr all earned second place. Nils Hagen, Ryan Engfer and Peter Hagen all earned third place, Mitch Sunder earned fourth place, Brandon Spanswick and Austin Rollog both took fifth place. Congratulations to Brendon Coyer on his 60th career win.

BERTHA-HEWITT/VERNDALE RAIDERS
The Raiders topped Section 6A foes Ottertail Central 47-22 and Breckenridge 60-22. They dropped a close dual to Section 6A rival Border West 39-31. The Raiders earned fifth place at the Park Region Conference Tournament with 109 points. Dillon Card earned their lone championship and Hunter Truax earned second place. Anthony Kern and Marshall Willis both earned third place, Nick Bennett fourth place and Justin Gordon and Dalton Baker both took fifth place.

BOLD WARRIORS
The Warriors topped AA foe Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 53-21 and they dropped duals to Section 3A foes No. 4A ranked Wabasso/Red Rock Central 52-6 and to 10A ranked Minneota 45-1. The Warriors had a good tournament performance with 135 points and ten place in the top five to earn fifth place at the Albany "Purple Pride" Invitational. Brett Grund and Manual Garcia both won championships and Ben Steffel earned second place. Brady Zitzmann, Chaz Roush and Alex Hatch all earned third place and Benny Garcia, Joel Erickson, Trevor Nissen and Chris Carnes all took fifth place. Congratulations to Brett Grund's for his 75th career win.

AITKIN GOBBLERS
The Gobblers topped Section 7A foes Royalton 43-29 and Minneapolis Patrick Henry 51-21. They had wins over Great River Conference foe Cloquet 55-21, Section 5A foe Browerville 64-9 and Asland, Wis. 58-18. They dropped a dual to Section 7A rival Pierz 50-14. The Gobblers had a great tournament performance with 239 points and fourteen place winners to earn second place at the Great River Conference tournament. Jerod Novak, Isaac Novak and Alan Bast all won championships and Tyler Bare, Jack Braton, Dan Nordean, Caleb Curtiss and Brian Wold all earned second place. Noah Landrus, Ethan Croatt, Kyle Lynn and Jordan Fiske all earned third place and Chris Jackson and Roy Wigton both earned fourth place. Congratulations goes to Isaac Novak on his 100th career win and Jerod Novak on his 75th career win.

ROYALTON ROYALS
The Royals topped Section 7A foes Mille Lacs 61-12 and Ogilvie 63-6 and Section 5A rival Browerville 57-9. They dropped a pair of duals to Section 7A foes Holdingford 47-26 and Aitkin 43-29. The Royals had a great tournament performance with 136 points to earned fourth place at the Park Region Conference Tournament. Mitch Lange won their lone championship and his third PRC title. Brad Kroll, Tyler Hegna and Tony Gadacz all earned third place, Brady Moulzolf, Shane Urbanski and Cory Wensmann all earned fourth place and Michael Petron took fifth place. Congratulations to Mitch Lang on his 150th career win and Cory Wensmann on his 75th career win.

MAT RATS CLASS AA TEAMS
FOLEY FALCONS
The Falcons are finally getting healthy as they struggled most of the season with sickness and injury. They topped Section 7AA and Granite Ridge Conference rival Milaca 47-15 and No. 12AAA Coon Rapids 40-21. They will enter Section 6AA as the number one seed and look for them to make a very strong effort to defend that title.
NEW LONDON-SPICER WILDCATS
The Wildcats topped Class A BOLD 40-32 and they dropped a close dual to the No. 1A ranked Jackson County Central 42-33. They had a very good tournament performance with 161 points and ten placing in the top five to earn second place at the Wright County Conference Tournament. Oden Rogers and Treyton Austvold both won championships and Jakob Stageberg and Corbin Schwartz both earned second place. Thomas Stageberg earned third place and Logan Brink and Cameron Steffen both earned fourth place. Logan Eckhoff, Luke Gould and Brandon Knisley all took fifth place. They will have the No. 2 seed in Section 6AA; look for the Wildcats to make a strong challenge for honors. Congratulations to Treyton Austvold on his 100th career win.

BECKER BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs topped Granite Ridge Conference rival and No. 10AAA ranked Little Falls 32-29 along with big wins over Section 6AA foe Zimmerman 63-12 and AAA foes Sartell 47-16 and Rogers 72-3. The Bulldogs had a great tournament performance with 194 points and twelve placing in the top four to win the Albany "Purple Pride" Invitational. Luke Schmalz, Colton Vekved and Kreston Gammon all won championships; Cody Ferris, Zack Zimmer and Tyler Madsen all earned second place. Brady Kurtz earned third place and five fourths were earned by; Lee Schmalz, Caleb Vekved, Bobby Lee, Mason Olson and Erik Dudek. They will enter Section 6AA as the No. 3 seed; look for them to make a strong challenge for section honors.

ANNANDALE/MAPLE LAKE LIGHTNING
The Lightning topped AAA Lean and Mean Wayzata 35-31 to complete their dual meet portion of their regular season. They had a good tournament performance with 138.5 points to earned fourth place at the Wright County Conference tournament. Teddy Erickson won their only championship and Jordan Hanan earned second place. D. J. Cranston and Tanner Vassar both earned third place, Nate Carlson, Justin Lehtola and Tom Condon all earned fourth place and Joe Mosley and Spencer Odgen both took fifth place.

PEQUOT LAKES/PINE RIVER-BACKUS ROAD CREW
The Road Crew topped AA Lean and Mean and Section 8AA rival Detroit Lakes 36-29 and Mid-State Conference rival Wadena-Deer Creek 64-15. They dropped a very close dual to AA Grand Rapids 34-33. The Road Crew closed out a very good regular season with a tourney performance with 177 points and twelve place winners. They earned second place at the Morris Area "Tigers" Invitational; Anthony Philipson, Nick Gravdahl and Drey Loge all won championships and Jared Adkins earned second place. Evan Gravdahl, Jace Loge, Ozzie Miller and Justin Mackenthun all earned third place. Dillon Nichols and Kent Kurt both earned fourth place and Spencer Richards and Kyle Jordan both took fifth place.

BIG LAKE HORNETS
The Hornets dropped a very close dual to the No. 5AA ranked Watertown-Mayer 36-32 and to the No. 4AAA ranked and Mississippi 8 Conference foe Cambridge-Isanti 63-6 to complete a very good regular season.

MILACA WOLVES
The Wolves topped AAA Sauk Rapids 50-22 and they dropped duals to Granite Ridge Conference rival Foley 47-15 and the No. 2A ranked Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 50-19. They went 1-2 at the Blaine "Bengal" Duals as they topped Irondale 63-10 and they lost to No. 12AAA ranked Coon Rapids 39-20 and to AA Lean and Mean Detroit Lakes  41-27. Austin Weidner and Colton Sailor were both 3-0 at the Bengal duals.

CHISAGO LAKES WILDCATS
The Wildcats topped Conference foes North Branch 42-33, Irondale 57-14 and Robbinsdale Cooper 36-35. They dropped a conference dual to BSM 40-27. The Wildcats will enter Section 7AA duals as the No. 1 seed in the South half.

GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE PANTHERS
The Panthers topped Section 2AA foe Tri City 39-31 and Howard Lake Waverly/Winsted 54-20. They earned 160.5 points at the Wright County Conference tournament and had nine place in the top five to earn third place in this very tough field of teams. Jacob Jewett and Mitchell Hartwig both won championships and Michael Donnay and Dalton Clouse both earned second place. Nate Tesch earned third place , Aaron Doonay and John Williams both earned fourth place and Brandon Richter and Ray Eberhard both took fifth place. Congratulations to Brandon Richter on his 60th career win and to Michael Donnay on his 75th career win.

MONTICELLO MAGIC
The Magic topped Mississippi 8 Conference foe Rogers 46-28. They had a great tournament performance with 192 points and thirteen placing in the top five to win the championship at the Mound-Westonka "White Hawk" Invitational. Logan Stiller and Zach Beaumaster both won championships, Brent Riddle, Tevin Zavadil, Carter Barnes and Seth Gardner all earned second place. Colton Hageman earned third place and Connor Adrian and Jeremiah Yeats both earned fourth place. Four Magic wrestlers took fifth place; Danny Munoz, Carter Michels, Jack Bourgeois and Cooper Hanson.

MORA MUSTANGS
The Mustangs topped three Section 7AA foes Hibbing 43-28, Pine City/Hinckley-Finlayson 36-29 and Cloquet 60-20. Along with those wins they topped Granite Ridge Conference foe Zimmerman 55-15 and Section 6AA foe Dassel Cokato 40-27. The Mustangs closed out their regular season with a good tournament performance by earning second place at the Albany "Purple Pride" Invitational with nine placing in the top five. Codie LaFromboise and Jordan Tober both won championships and Reed Gmahl, Kollen Doty and Austin Richard all earned second place. Thomas Hischer and Brandon Lucking both earned third place, Tyler Tober fourth place and Jake Hruska took fifth place.

NORTH BRANCH VIKINGS
The Vikings dropped a pair of Conference duals to Chisago Lakes 42-33 and to Totino Grace 48-30.

DAWSON-BOYD/LQPV UNITED
The United topped Class A Lean and Mean Canby 37-29 and they got weathered out a dual to No. 4A ranked Wabasso/Red Rock Central.  Congratulations to Jordan Bothun on his 60th career win.
FERGUS FALLS OTTERS
The Otters dropped duals to Section 8AA Perham 40-22, AAA Lean and Mean 57-13 and No. 4A Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 43-18. Congratulations goes out to Abbott Aho on his 175th career win.

MAT RATS CLASS AAA TEAMS


SAINT MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE KNIGHTS
The Knights topped Mississippi 8 Conference foe Buffalo 70-3, AAA foes Maple Grove 77-0 and Irondale 68-3. The Knights also topped the No. 3AAA ranked Prior Lake 47-14 in a very good dual. The Knights are ready to defend their section 7AAA title and to try to improve on the State Runner Up performance of the past couple of seasons.   Special congratulations goes to Tanner Mills on his 175th career win.

CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI BLUEJACKETS
The Bluejackets topped Mississippi 8 Conference foe Big Lake 63-6 and AAA foe Lakeville South 46-29 and AA foe South St. Paul 54-21. They topped the field of teams at the Anoka "Tornado" Duals with a win over the All Stars 81-0, in the semifinals they topped No. 10 AAA Little Falls 47-20 and No. 8AAA Hastings 37-20. Travis Swanson, Ty Torgerson, Russel LaBoe and Kyle Chromy were all 3-0 at the Tornado duals.  

LITTLE FALLS FLYERS
The Flyers topped Section 8AAA foe St. Cloud Apollo 63-15 and Granite Ridge Conference foe Princeton 63-17. They did drop a Granite Ridge Conference dual to No. 10 AA ranked Becker 32-29. The Flyers went 2-1 to earned third place at the Anoka "Tornado" Duals with a big win over Lean and Mean Willmar 36-34; they dropped their semifinal to No. 4AAA ranked Cambridge-Isanti 47-20 and they topped No. 11AAA ranked and Section 7AAA foe Anoka 37-35. Trysten Ross was the lone Bluejacket that won all three of his matches at the Anoka duals. A special congratulations to head coach Mike Hendrickson on his 300th Win.

MOORHEAD SPUDS
The Spuds topped No. 10 AA ranked Perham 48-15, Fargo Davies 50-13 and Section 8AAA foes Bemidji 38-26 and St. Cloud Tech 54-11. The Spuds had an awesome tournament performance to close out a very good regular season with 189 points and thirteen placing in the top five. They won the Alexandria "Big Ole" Invitational edging out No. 5A ranked Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg by a half point and No. 3A ranked Frazee by one point. All three teams were missing some of their starters. Chase Morlock and A. J. Wheeler both won championships and Jacob Rositas, Kenny Mark, Joe Carpenter and Grant Brendemuhl all earned second place. Brody Jerome earned third place, Ben Lien, Tommy Wycher, Sam Grove and Brendan Edner all earned fourth place. Grant Trowbridge and Landon Dickhaus both took fifth place.  Special congratulations to Chase Morlock on breaking the school record of 151 career wins.

SARTELL SABRES
The Sabres topped Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AAA rival Brainerd 42-25 and they dropped a very close dual to Conference for St. Cloud Apollo 43-24. With their win over Brainerd the Sabres have won the Central Lakes Conference championship. They dropped duals to Section 8AAA rival Bemidji 45-15 and to No. 12AA ranked Becker 47-16.

WILLMAR CARDINALS
The Cardinals topped Central Lakes Conference foes Fergus Falls 57-13 and Sauk Rapids 40-18. They also topped Section 6AAA rivals Minnetonka 43-19, Hopkins 64-6 and Rocori 51-10 at the Minnetonka quadrangular. Zach Leuders, Nate Mittag, Austin Miley, Estevan Navarro, Travis Neegan, Colton Carlson and Vaughn Johnson were all 3-0 at the quadrangular. This gave the Cardinals a No. 2 seed in the Section 6AAA dual meet tournament. The Cardinals dropped a dual to No. 10AAA ranked Little Falls in the quarterfinals of the Anoka "Tornado" duals 36-34. They topped the All Starts 48-19 and AAA Lean and Mean St. Francis 43-15. Juan Resentez, Zach Lueders, Nate Mittag, Austin Miley, Esteven Navarro, Travis Deegan, Colton Carlson and Cass Herzog were all 3-0 at the Tornado Duals. Congratulations goes out to Cass Herzog on his 75th career win.

ALEXANDRIA CARDINALS
The Cardinals topped Central Lakes Conference rivals St. Cloud Tech 34-26 and St. Cloud Apollo 43-24. They had a great tournament performance with 153.5 points and nine placing in the top five to earn fourth place at their "Big Ole" Invitational. Trent Piepenburg, Blake Ohlausen and Justin Cumberbatch all won championships, Tony Hubbard earned second place. Mike Schluter earned third place, Ben Bogart and Jacob Schiltgen both earned fourth place. Shawn Nelson and Dustin Neu both took fifth place at the Big Ole. Their wins over Apollo and Tech earned them the runner up spot in the Central Lakes Conference for the 2012-2013 season.

BRAINERD WARRIORS
The Warriors topped Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AAA foe Sauk Rapids 59-9 and Section 8AAA rival Bemidji 39-34. In a huge dual for the Warriors they topped No. 2A ranked Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 39-32. They dropped a Central Lakes Conference dual to Section 8AAA foe Sartell 42-25. The Warriors had their complete lineup on the mat against ACGC after battling with various issues.

BEMIDJI LUMBERJACKS
The Lumberjacks topped Class A Roseau 57-15, AA Nashwauk-Keewatin 66-6 and Section 8AAA rival Sartell 45-15. They dropped duals to Section 8AAA foes Brainerd 39-34, St. Cloud Tech 40-23 and Moorhead 38-26. They dropped a dual to AA Lean and Mean Pequot Lake/Pine River-Backus 33-27. The Lumberjacks had a great tournament performance with 188 points and eleven placing in the top five to win the championship at the Fertile "Northwest" Invitational. Brian Maas, Logan Crosby, Kade Johnson and Alex Johnson all won championships and Robert Truer and Drew Peterson both earned second place. Alex O'Neal, Josh Dreyer and Wyatt Yoemans all earned third place, Tyler O'Beirne earned fourth place, Adrian Azure took fifth place. Congratulations goes out to Logan Crosby on his 100th career win.

ST. CLOUD APOLLO EAGLES
The Eagles topped Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AAA foe Sartell 35-33, they dropped a conference dual and Section 8AAA foe Alexandria 43-24. They did drop a dual to No. 10AAA ranked Section 8AAA rival Little Falls 63-15. The Eagles won two championships by Mitch Bengtson and Grant Nehring at the Alexandria "Big Ole" Invitational. Congratulations goes out to Mitch as he won his 250th career match and Grant won his 150th career match. Bryce Kirchner earned second place. Derek Biendara and Seth Pachan both earned fifth place at the Big Ole. The Eagles closed out there regular season with an impressive tournament showing with 151 points and seven place winners including five championships to earned third place at the Albany "Purple Pride" Invitational. Peter Nelson, Matt Braun, Mitch Bengston, Grant Nehring and Bryce Kirchner all won championships, Derek Biendara earned fourth place and Nick Graham took fifth place.

ST. CLOUD TECH TIGERS
The Tigers topped AAA Melrose/Sauk Centre 47-17 and they dropped a dual to Central Lakes Conference rival Alexandria 34-26 and to a pair of section 8AAA foes Moorhead 54-11 and Bemidji 40-23.

SAUK RAPIDS STORM
The Storm dropped duals to Central Lakes conference foes Willmar 40-18 and Brainerd 57-9 and No. 2A ranked Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 62-4 and AA Lean and Mean Milaca 50-22.

ROGERS ROYALS
The Royals topped AA Zimmerman 30-27 and they dropped duals to Mississippi 8 foe Monticello 46-28, No. 12AA ranked Becker 72-3 and AAA Lean and Mean Centennial 61-10 and AAA Moundsview 49-16. The Royals topped St. Paul Johnson in the quarterfinals 48-26 of their Royal Rumble Invitational, in the semifinals they lost to No. 12A Holdingford 59-11 and they topped AAA Mound-Westonka 35-18 to earned third place at the Royal Rumble.

ROCORI SPARTANS
The Spartans topped AA rival Albany 38-19 and they dropped duals to Section 6AAA foes Minnetonka 40-20, Hopkins 46-18 and Willmar 51-10. They also dropped a dual to No. 7AA ranked Hutchinson 60-11. They had four place winners at the Alexandria "Big Ole" Invitational Tyler Hoffman won the championship at 285, Adam Kunz earned fourth place and Cody Buerman and Michael Schwinghammer both took fifth place.
BUFFALO BISON
The Bison topped Section 6AAA foe Robbinsdale Cooper 40-22 and they lost to Mississippi 8 Conference foe and the No. 1AAA ranked Saint Michael-Albertville 70-3. The Bison concluded their regular season at the Mound-Westonka "Knighthawk" Invitational. They earned 93 points for seventh place in a ten team field of teams. Adam Treptau and Hunter Durand both earned second place, Josh Anderson and Jonathon Wirkkala both earned third place. Robert Sahli earned fourth place and Josh Skarin and James Frank both took fifth place.
