FAVORITES: JACKSON COUNTY CENTRAL HUSKIES and the MAPLE RIVER EAGLES
The Huskies of Jackson County Central should be a strong favorite to repeat as section champions. Back from their 25-3 state championship campaign are ten section place winners including five state qualifiers and eight others with a great deal of experience. The Huskies will have state tourney medalist back to lead the way thru out the season. Darick Vancura, defending state champion, Luke Norlund, 4th place, Eliot Jurries, 5th place and Paden Moore 5th place. Despite the graduation of five seniors including three state tourney wrestlers of which one won a state championship. Keegan Moore and Cameron Henning should also be key contributors. They should make a strong challenge to defend their conference, section and state titles.
The Eagles of Maple River should make a strong challenge for honors this season. Back from their 17-2 dual marks conference championship and section runner up season are eleven section place winners including three state qualifiers and two others with a lot of varsity experience. Despite the graduation of four seniors including three section place winners, two of which were state qualifiers. Look for the Eagles to continue improving during the season; they should defend their conference honors and by season's end they should be a strong challenge for any of the class A teams in the state. Zach Kuhns, Russell Caldwell, Aaron Trio and Mitch Stoltzman should be their key leaders thru out the season.
DARKHORSES: NEW RICHLAND-HEARTLAND-ELLENDALE-GENEVA and the BLUE EARTH BUCS
The Panthers of New Richland-Heartland-Ellendale-Geneva should make a strong challenge for a top four spot in this section dual meet campaign. Back from their 16-6 campaign are four section place winners and sixteen others with some varsity experience. Despite the graduation of ten seniors including six section place winners of which two were state place winners. This young team should improve a great deal in the course of the season; they will be a force to be dealt at section dual meet time. Dillan Parpart, Nathan Krohn, Tyler Logan and Keith Maxon should be their key leaders thru out the season.

They return from their 19-10 dual meet campaign seven section place, of which two were state qualifiers and eight others with a great deal of experience. Despite the graduation of two section place winners with one being a state qualifier. The Bucs should challenge for section honors and a top four spot in this section dual meet campaign. Carter Hanson, Kysten Zierke, Alec Huber and David Franta should be their key leaders thru out the season.
