CENTAL MINNESOTA MAT RATS REPORT (18 ANNUAL)

Coaches, please keep me informed of your team's success throughout the season. With each edition, I would like to share their success in The Central MN Report. Please send relevant information for Class A individual and team ratings as well. I will also report your results to The Guillotine results page if you would like. Track wrestling was used by many people last year, please consider that as well. Late January Report

MAT RATS CLASS AAA TEAMS

SAINT MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE KNIGHTS

The Knights topped a pair of Wright County Conference teams No. 6AA Hutchinson 62-6 and Mound-Westonka 58-9. They topped Mississippi 8 Conference rival No. 5AAA Cambridge-Isanti 40-10. The Knights continued to roll over their foes as they topped Section 7AAA foe Blaine 58-15 and Mississippi 8 Conference foe Rogers 60-6. They had a strong tourney performance with 238.5 points and all fourteen placing in the top four to win the Eden Prairie "Eagles" Invitational. Seven championships were won by Jake Briggs, Mark Voss, Michael Kessler, Lincoln Mallinger, Cole Sladek, Mitchell McKee and Tommy Thorn. Ricky Briggs, Aaron Dick and Tanner Mills all earned second place and Mitchel Herian, Ryan Rostamo both earned third place. Taking fourth place for the Knights were Randy Anderson and Owen Gammell. They topped three foes to earn the championship at the Forest Lake Ranger Duals. In the quarter-finals they topped LeSueur-Henderson 68-3, semifinals they topped AAA Forest Lake 51-3 and for the championship they topped No. 3AA Foley 44-12.


CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI BLUEJACKETS

The Bluejackets topped Mississippi 8 conference rival Monticello 47-24 and dropped a dual to No. 1AAA ranked and Mississippi 8 rival Saint Michael-Albertville 40-10. The Jackets topped four foes at their "Bluejacket" dual meet invitational. They topped AA Lean and Mean North Branch 48-21, AAA Forest Lake 49-14, AA Lean and Mean Monticello 47-24 and No. 8AA ranked Perham 47-13. Ty Torgerson was 4-0 and going 3-0 at the Bluejacket duals were Russell LaBoe, Kyle Willette, Brady Kuntz, Monty Fredrickson and C. J. Schlictman.


MOORHEAD SPUDS

The Spuds had an awesome tournament performance with 279.5 points and all fourteen wrestlers placing in the top four to earn the Lake Park "Terry Teiken" Invitational. They won seven championships including' Joseph Grove, Grant Brendemuhl, Brody Jerome, Tommy Wychor, A. J. Wheeler, Joe Carpenter and Chase Morlock. Ethan Tallakson, Jacob Rositas, Kenny Mark and Sam Grove all earned second place. Landon Dickhaus and Ben Herbst earned third place and Taylor Laidlaw took fourth place.


LITTLE FALLS FLYERS

The Flyers topped Section 8AAA rivals Brainerd 48-24 and Sauk Rapids 44-22 and Granite Ridge AA Lean and Mean Mora 45-35. In  the Big Lake Triangular they topped the host Big Lake 38-29, AA Zimmerman 59-15 and AAA Buffalo 78-6. Connor Scherping, Jordan Petrone, Joe Reis and Conor Swanson were all 3-0. The Flyers went 2-1 at the Fergus Falls "Pudge Anderson" Duals with wins over Fergus Falls 48-26 and North Dakota foe Wahpeton 51-18 and they lost to Section 8AAA rival Moorhead 45-27. Axel Lange, Conner Scherping, Jordan Petron and Conor Swanson were all 3-0 at the Pudge Anderson Duals.


SARTELL SABRES

The Sabres topped a pair of Central Lakes Conference and AAA Lean and Mean rival Alexandria 29-28 and Lean and Mean AAA Willmar 32-31. They had a great performance despite missing a couple of their wrestlers as they topped three foes to win the Staples "Don Dravis" Duals. In the quarterfinal they topped Browerville 66-6, semifinals Quad County 31-28 and in the championship class Lean and Mean Kimball 39-26. Zach Pederson, Brady Goebel and Dan Vitale were all 3-0 and a special congratulations to Dan Vitale as he won his 100th Career match at the Staples event. The Sabres had a great tournament performance with 209.5 points and eleven placing in the top four to win the Spectrum "Sting" Invitational. Drew Bienusa, Zach Motschke, Garrett Counter and Brady Goebel all won championships. Danny Nyguen, Jon Pelach and Jake Fernholz all earned third place and Nathan Frank, Abe Anderson, Nick Jensen and Sam Krauel all took fourth place.


ALEXANDRIA CARDINALS

The Cardinals topped AA foe Melrose/Sauk Centre 51-13 and Section 8AAA rival Bemidji 36-27. They dropped a pair of duals to Section 8AAA rivals Little Falls 41-33 and to Sartell 29-28. Congratulations goes out to Trent Piepenburg as he won his 100th career match.


BRAINERD WARRIORS

The Warriors topped Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AAA rival St. Cloud Tech 45-22 and Rocori 62-12. They dropped a big dual to Section 8AAA rival Little Falls 48-24. The Warriors had a solid tournament performance with 178 points and eleven placing in the top five to earn second place at the Elk River "Elks" Invitational. Luke Boran and James Weiss both won championships and Bryton Mutz, Andy Schlosser and Jeff Flickinger all earned second place. Dillon Solid earned third place and Chris Laber and Matt Malloy earned fourth place. Taking fifth place was Cole DeRosier, Drew Bruen and Jake Zelinske.



WILLMAR CARDINALS

The Cardinals have been fighting thru injuries and sickness like many teams thru out the state. They dropped a pair of duals to Class A No. 5 ranked Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 48-20 and to Class A Bold 38-34. The Cards dropped a two big Central Lakes Conference duals to Sartell 32-31 and to St. Cloud Tech 37-35. They were missing several individuals as they competed in the very tough Hutchinson "Tigers" Invitational where they had four place winners including Colten Carlson and Cass Herzog both won championships and Juan Resendez and Estavan Navarro both took fifth place. They topped Section 6AAA foe Buffalo 50-8 but dropped a close dual to Wayzata 36-27. Austin Miley and Colten Carlson were both 3-0 at the triangular.


ST. CLOUD TECH TIGERS

The Tigers have been on fire in their recent duals; they topped Central Lakes Conference rivals Willmar 37-35 and Fergus Falls 51-24. They did drop a conference dual to Brainerd 45-22.


ST. CLOUD APOLLO EAGLES

The Eagles had the week off although they did have one dual with No. 5A ranked Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg and they lost 53-17 and they did top Class A Ortonville 69-12.


BEMIDJI LUMBERJACKS

The Lumberjacks topped AA Fosston-Bagley 54-18 and Class A Blackduck/Cass Lake/Bena 46-21. They dropped a pair of duals to Section 8AAA foes Alexandria 36-27 and to Little Falls 45-21. They had a great tournament performance with 191 points to earned second place at the Thief River Falls "Prowler" Invitational. Alex Johnson, Kade Johnson and Logan Crosby all won championships and Dylan Sauceda earned second place. Brian Mass earned third place, Tyler O'Beirne and Criag Mass both earned fourth place and Brody Willander took fifth place. The Lumberjacks  dropped a very close dual to No. 11A ranked Badger/Greenbush-Middle River 39-34.


SAUK RAPIDS STORM

The Storm dropped three duals at the Little Falls "Flyer" Quadrangular, they dropped a dual to Central Lakes conference foe Little Falls 48-22, No. 7A ranked Pierz 55-18 and Class A Paynesville 40-29. They had a great tournament with 180.5 points to earn second place at the Spectrum "Sting" Invitational with ten placing in the top five. Korey Keske, Austin Walz, Chris Keske, Dylan Vait and Trent Klejeske all won championships. Matthew Kruger earned second place, Tony Bemboom and Charley Rudy both earned third place, Adam Gessell earned fourth place and Tristen Emery took fifth place.



ELK RIVER ELKS

The Elks topped Conference foe Maple Grove 46-22. They had an awesome tournament performance with 201 points to win their "Elks" Invitational with eleven placing in the top four. Garrett Caldon, Evan Caldon and Kyle Ziemer all won championships and Cole Moening, Justin Gagnon and Garrett VanEps all earned second place. Ben Gibas, Andrew Perry, Jacob Brown and Christian Tobin all earned third place and Bob Schmitz took fourth place.


ROGERS ROYALS

The Royals topped Mississippi 8 Conference foe Buffalo 43-27 and they dropped a pair of duals to a conference foe No. 1AAA ranked Saint Michael-Albertville 60-6 and  AAA Blaine 63-12.They topped AAA East Ridge 39-37 and Minneapolis Roosevelt 55-6. On the 26th they topped Fridley 48-27 and Washington Tech. 54-21


ROCORI SPARTANS

The Spartans dropped a pair of Central Lakes Conference duals to Brainerd 62-12 and a very close one to Fergus Falls 34-33. The Spartans topped Section 6AAA Robbinsdale Cooper 47-22 and they dropped a pair of Section 6AAA duals to Wayzata 57-19 and Mound-Westonka 25-19.


BUFFALO BISON

The Bison dropped a Mississippi 8 Dual to Rogers 43-27. The Bison had one place winner at the Totino Grace "Eagles" Invitational and that was one championship won by Adam Treptau.


MAT RATS CLASS A TEAMS

ATWATER-COSMOS-GROVE CITY FALCONS

The Falcons topped No. 3AA ranked Foley 44-21, West Central Conference rival BOLD 57-6 and Section 5A rival Paynesville 55-12. They had a good performance with 162 points and eleven placing in the top five at the Hutchinson tournament. Logan Peterson and Larry Bomstad both won championships and Lee Whitcomb, Maverick Whitcomb and Lucas Damm all earned second place. Robert Rasmussen and Derek Dengerud both earned fourth place and Jesse Rogers, Mathew Whitcomb, Jordan Nelson and Jordan Fester all took fifth place. The Falcons had an impressive performance as they won the West Central Conference championship with 235 points and thirteen placing in the top five. Six conference championships were won by Robert Rasmussen, Logan Peterson, Larry Bomstad, Maverick Whitcomb and Lucas Damm. Derek Dengerud had a great tourney, with his performance he earned second place. Rylan Molinaro and Jordan Nelson both earned third place and Jesse Rogers and Mathew Whitcomb earned fourth place. Taking fifth place for the Falcons were Ehtan Houseman and Jordan Fester.

KERKHOVEN MURDOCK SUNBURG FIGHTING SAINTS

The Saints topped Section 3A rival BOLD 56-15 and AAA Lean and Mean rival Willmar 48-20. They topped Camden conference foe Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 61-12. In a huge match for the Fighting Saints they topped AAA St. Cloud Apollo 53-17 and section 3A foe Ortonville 76-6.  In the Apollo match Zach Carlson upset the defending AAA state champion in a very exciting overtime match. They had a big win over No. 7A ranked section 3A foe Minneota 38-17. They topped AA foe Quad County 43-10 for a perfect dual meet record thus far.


PIERZ PIONEERS

The Pioneers topped AA Pine City/Hinckley Finlayson 57-9 and section 7A foe Ogilvie 66-6. In the Pioneers quadrangular they topped section 7A foe Crosby-Ironton 50-15, Class A foe Paynesville 53-12 and AAA Sauk Rapids 55-18. Brandon Sullivan, Chris Ortman, Jordan Goebel, Brad Meyer, Josh Lanners and Nick Lochner were all 3-0 at the quad. They topped 5A foe Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 60-9 and Section 7A rival Mille Lacs 70-12. The Pioneers had a great showing at the South St. Paul Tornament with 185.5 points and twelve place in the top six in this sixteen team tourney to earn second place. Evan Woitalla and Brad Meyer both won championships and Josh Lanners earned second place. Travis Johnson, Ryley Smude and Chris Ortman all earned third place, Brett Kapsner, Jordan Goebel, Nick Lochner and Brando Sullivan all earned fourth place. Brandon Ortman earned fifth place and Curtis Brisk took sixth place.


HOLDINGFORD HUSKERS

The Huskers topped AA Zimmerman 45-28 before dropping a dual to No. 3AA Foley 46-28. They topped Central Minnesota conference rival Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 39-27. They did drop a dual to Class A Lean and Mean and Conference rival Kimball 33-30, the Huskers were without the services of three starters in the Kimball dual. They topped three foes at the Browerville duals; the Class A lean and mean Border West 46-25, section 5A foe Browerville 55-17 and section 6A foe West Central Area 57-20. Zach Scott, Trevor Scott, Kyle Gerads, Matt Messman and Mitch Messman were all 3-0 at the Tiger Duals.


UNITED NORTH CENTRAL WARRIORS

The Warriors topped Park Region Conference rivals Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale 43-19 and Otter Central 48-12. They topped AA Lean and Mean Pequot Lakes/Pine River/Backus 33-30 and AA United Clay Becker 51-21. The Warriors earned second place at the Mahnomen-Waubun "Cougar" Duals with a win in the quarterfinal over Mahnomen-Waubun 58-11 and in the semifinals over AA Crookston 45-24. They dropped their championship dual to No. 11A and Section 8A rival Badger/Greenbush-Middle River 43-26. Jake Malone and Taylor Carlson were both 3-0 at the Cougar duals.




NEW YORK MILLS EAGLES

The Eagles topped Park Region Conference and section 6A rival Ottertail Central 53-10. They had a bit of a struggle with sickness as has many teams; during that time they took on No.10A ranked and section 6A rival Barnesville and they lost 52-10, Class A lean and mean Border West and came up short 45-31 and to Park Region Conference and Class A lean and mean foe Osakis and came up short 39-30. They dropped a dual to AA lean and mean Pequot Lakes/Pine River/Backus 45-24. The Eagles had a very good tournament performance with 153.5 points to earn fourth place at the Thief River Falls "Prowler" Invitational with seven place winners. Shane Novak won their lone championship and Tyler Patron earned second place. Max Carlson and Noah Pesola both earned third place, Taylor Ericksrud earned fourth place. Brian Pyle and Gunner Flynn both took sixth place. 


BELGRADE-BROOTEN-ELROSA JAGUARS

The Jaguars topped section 5A foe Minnewaska 39-30 and they dropped a dual to Central Minnesota Conference foe Holdingford 39-27. They had a great tournament with 174 points and twelve place winners to earn third place at the New London-Spicer "Wildcats" Invitational. Tyler Tensen and Patrick Rooney both won championships and Josey Tensen earned second place. Alex Schramel, Matt Schmitz and Austin Jaeger all earned third place, Colby Schramel, Ben Thompson and Ben Feuerhake all earned fourth place. Kaleb Voss and Lee Borgerding both took fifth place at the Wildcat tourney. The Jaugars went 3-0 at the Browerville "Tiger" Duals with wins over section 6A foe West Central Area 55-22, Class A Lean and Mean Border West 40-30 and Section 5A foe Browerville 46-18. Tyler Tensen, Alex Schramel, Ben Thompson and Patrick Rooney were all 3-0 at the Tiger duals.


BORDER WEST BUCCANEERS

The Buccaneers topped section 6A foes New York Mills 45-31 and Wadena-Deer Creek 54-15. They dropped a pair of duals at the Browerville "Tiger" Duals; to a pair of class A lean and mean teams Holdingford 46-25 and Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 40-30. They had four place winners at the Lisbon Invitational to earn sixth place with 145.5 points. Cameron Sykora, Gus McCarthy and Austin Maanum all won championships and Tracer Lee earned third place.

KIMBALL CUBS

The Cubs haven't had all the wrestlers on the mat yet this season, yet they are having a pretty good season. They did top class A lean and mean Central Minnesota Conference rival Holdingford 33-30. They dropped a dual to the No. 3AA ranked Foley 43-22. They earned second place at the Staples-Motley "Don Dravis" Duals with their quarterfinal win over section 5A foe Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 49-24 and in the semifinals AA Staples-Motley 40-21. In the championship they came up a little short to AA foe Sartell 39-26. Marcus Hamer, Markus Mehr and Austyn Schlueter were all 3-0 at the Don Dravis duals. The Cubs went 1-2 at the Fergus Falls "Pudge Anderson" Duals with wins over Fergus Falls 54-22 and AA Thief River Falls 50-19 before falling to No. 2AAA ranked Apple Valley 56-9. Travis Wills was the lone wrestler to go 3-0 at the Pudge Anderson duals.

OSAKIS SILVERSTREAKS

The Silverstreaks have been on a bit of a roll as of late as they topped Park Region Conference rival New York Mills 39-30 and section 6A foe West Central Area 57-22, they did drop a big section 5A dual to Paynesville 39-26. The Silverstreaks topped three foes at the Silverstreaks duals with wins over section 5A rival Howard Lake Waverly Winsted 53-24, section 3A Benson 54-27 and AA Albany 48-27. Brenden Coyer, Trenton Coyer, Colton Waldvogel, Brandon Spanswick, Nils Hagen, Mitch Sunder and Peter Hagen were all 3-0 at their dual meet invitational.


BERTHA-HEWITT/VERNDALE RAIDERS

The Raiders topped Park Region Conference foes Royalton 38-34 and Prairie Valley 43-21. They topped section 6A rival Pelican Rapids 42-30 and AA rival Staple-Motley 46-28. They earned 87.5 points at the New London-Spicer "Wildcat" Invitational with seven place winners. Dalton Baker won their lone championship, Hunter Truax earned second place, Zach Waln earned third place. Anthony Kern earned fourth place and Justin Gordan, Ethan Kimber and Charlie Nienaber all took fifth place.


BOLD WARRIORS

The Warriors topped Class A lean and mean Zumbrota-Mazeppa 35-27 and AAA lean and mean Willmar 38-34. The dropped a pair of duals to No.2A Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 58-6 and to No. 5A Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 58-15. They had a very impressive showing at the West Central Conference tourney where they earned second place with 158.5 points and nine place winners. Brady Zitzmann and Alex Hatch both won championships and Chaz Roush and Ben Steffel both earned second place. Brett Grund, Manuel Garcia and Trevor Nissan all earned third place, Chris Carnes earned fourth place and Joel Erickson took fifth place.

AITKIN GOBBLERS

The Gobblers topped Section 7A foes Crosby-Ironton 43-22 and Mille Lacs 62-9 and they top Great River Conference foe Pine City/Hinckley-Finlayson 40-31. The Gobblers had a great tournament performance at the Grand Rapids Tournament with 195.5 points and twelve place winners. Jack Braton, Brian Wold, Jerad Novak and Isaac Novak all won championships and Dan Nordeen earned second place. Tyler Bare earned fourth place and Chris Jackson, Alan Bast, Jonah Perrine, Kyle Lynn and Jordan Fiske all took fifth place.


PAYNESVILLE BULLDOGS

They topped Section 7A foe Crosby-Ironton 51-27 and AAA foe Sauk Rapids 40-29. They dropped a dual to No. 7A ranked Pierz 53-12 and West Central Conference No. 2A ranked Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 55-12. In a key dual they topped section 5A foe Osakis 39-26. The Bulldogs earned fifth place with 105 points at the West Central Conference tournament. Caleb Burris won their lone championship, Jacob Mages and Tanner Harder both earned third place. Derek Ludwig earned fourth place and Jared Kunstleben, Alex Whitcomb, Anthony Wendlant and Michael Ludwig all took fifth place.


Royalton Royals

The Royals topped Park Region Conference foes Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 54-21 and Prairie Valley 63-15. They did drop a close dual to conference rival Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale 38-34. The Royals had a good tourney showing as they scored 150 points to earned fifth place at the Elk River "Elks" Invitational. Mitch Lange, Cory Wensmann and Tony Gadacz all won championships and Brad Knoll earned second place. Michael Petron earned third place, Joe Jensen and Matt Neu both earned fourth place and Shawn Urbanski and Ty Held both took fifth place.


MAT RATS CLASS AA TEAMS

FOLEY FALCONS

The Falcons topped two Section 6AA teams in their quad; New London-Spicer 42-24, Albany 57-20 and Granite Conference rival Mora 33-30. Tristan Manderfeld, Tyler Midas, Mitch Struffert and Cameron Svihla were all 3-0 at their quad. They topped Section 7AA foe Zimmerman 64-12, Class A lean and mean teams Holdingford 46-28 and Kimball 44-24. They dropped a dual to the No. 2A ranked Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 44-21. They earned second place at the Forest Lake "Rangers" Duals with their quarterfinal win over AAA Stillwater 44-15 and the No. 5 ranked Ellsworth, WI 31-27 before dropping the championship to the No. 1AAA ranked Saint Michael-Albertville 44-12. Tristan Manderfeld, Mitch Keeler and Brandon Halverson were all 3-0 at the Ranger duals.


NEW LONDON-SPICER WILDCATS

The Wildcats topped two section 6AA teams; Annandale/Maple Lake 37-27 and Albany 31-12 and Section 7AA Mora 48-21. They did drop a dual to the No. 3AA ranked Section 6AA rival Foley 42-24. The Wildcats had an impressive showing as they earned 206.5 points and had eleven place in the top five to win their "Wildcat" Invitational. Thomas Stageberg, Jakob Stageberg, Oden Rogers and Jarrett Hatlestad all won championships and Treyton Austvold, Logan Brink, Logan Eckhoff and Brandon Knisley all earned second place. Corbin Schwartz earned third place and Noah Welsh earned fourth place and Rick Berry took fifth place. They topped a pair of Wright County Conference foes Delano 53-20 and Orono 40-11.


BECKER BULLDOGS

The Bulldogs topped Granite Ridge Conference foe Albany 63-9. They earned second place at the Tartan "Titans" dual meet invitational with a quarterfinal win over Roseville 70-12 and in the semifinals they topped Section 7AA foe Grand Rapids 51-17. In the championship they dropped a close dual to the No. 4AA ranked New Prague 37-30. Luke Schmalz, Eric Dudek and Kreston Gammon were all 3-0 at the Titan duals.


PEQUOT LAKES/PINE RIVER/BACKUS ROAD CREW

The Road Crew topped New York Mills 45-24 and they dropped a very close dual to Class A lean and mean United North Central 33-30. The Road Crew had a very impressive showing with 218 points and thirteen placing in the top three to win the Mid-State Conference tournament. Anthony Philipson, Nate Adkins, Nick Gravdahl, Drey Loge and Justin Mackenthun all won championships.  Drey Loge was name the Outstanding Wrestler for his excellent performance. Ozzie Miller, Dillon Nichols and Jared Adkins all earned second place. Spencer Richards, Tristan Rubner, Caedel Roeder and Kurt Kent all earned third place.


ANNANDALE-MAPLE LAKE LIGHTNING

They topped a pair of Wright County Conference rivals Delano 49-20 and Orono. The Lightning had a very good performance at the Eden Prairie "Eagles" Invitational with 135.5 point to earned third place. Teddy Erickson won their only championship and Tanner Vassar, Joe Mosley and Jordan Hanan all earned second place. Spencer Ogden and Tom Condon both earned third place, Nick Anderson earned fourth place and Isaac Hendrickson took fifth place. The Lightning topped three foes at the Robbinsdale Cooper "Sohn" Duals; Minneapolis Southwest 66-3, Fillmore County Central 36-15 and Goodhue 36-15.


MILACA WOLVES

The Wolves topped Granite Ridge Conference foes Princeton 43-18 and Albany 58-13. Section 7AA rival Pine City/Hinckley-Finlayson 61-9 and Class A neighbor Mille Lacs 62-13.


CHISAGO LAKES

The Wildcats had four place winners at the Eastview "Lightning" Invitational; Kyle Schoenecker won a championship, Joe Virga and Jonah Westbury both earned second place and Dylan Connell earned third place. The Wildcats earned third place with 170 points ten place winners at their "Legends" invitational. Dylan Connel, Quade Zupko, Joe Virga and Jonah Westbury all won championships. Kyle Schoenecker earned second place and Sean Hoyt and Eric Brown both earned third place. Aaron Sistnink and Bill Michelke both earned fourth place and Nathan Graeve took fifth place.


GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE PANTHERS

The Panthers had 111.5 points at the Lake Crystal-Wellcome-Memorial "Knights" Invitational to take seventh place. Mitchell Hartwig and Dalton Clouse both won championships, Michael Donnay earned second place. John Williams earned fourth place and Dylan Melchert took fifth place. The Panthers have had some impressive dual meet wins over Section 2AA rival St. Peter 44-31 and Mankato West 42-18. They topped Wright County Conference Mound-Westonka 42-18. In a very good dual meet they came up just short against Section 2AA foe and No. 4AA ranked New Prague 39-32.


 NORTH BRANCH VIKINGS

The Vikings topped North Suburban Conference foes Fridley 65-7 and Benilde-Saint Margaret's 59-12. They also had two big wins over section 7AA rivals Grand Rapids 35-27 and Nashwauk-Keewatin 60-10. The Vikings topped AA Lean and Mean Monticello 36-26, they dropped a pair of duals to No. 5AAA ranked Cambridge-Isanti 48-21 and to AAA Forest Lake 45-21. They had a impressive tourney performance with 201.5 points to earned second place at the Grand Rapids "Skip Nalan" Invitational. Eric Bergstrom, Seamus Hunter and Zack Sundly all won championships. Reed Johnson, Aaron Senne and Jake Pilz all earned second place. Tom Steel and Tristan LaBelle both earned third place, Zach Johnson earned fourth place and Cameron Sampson took fifth place.


BIG LAKE HORNETS

The Hornets topped Mississippi 8 and AA Lean and Mean rival Monticello 36-29 in a very good dual. They topped a pair of AA foes at the Melrose trianguler; Montevideo 52-10 and Sauk Centre/Mel 45-25.  They topped two teams in their quadrangular Conference foe Buffalo 59-18 and Zimmerman 47-15 and they dropped a close one to Lean and Mean AAA Little Falls 38-29. Daulton Stringer and A. J. Sandford were both 3-0 at the quad. The Hornets had a great tourney performance with 194 points and thirteen place winners in the top five to earned second place at the Chisago Lakes "Wildcat Legends" Invitational. Cody Knaeble won their lone championship, Logan Donias, Josiah Brown and Phil Duncan all earned second place. Tristan Jacuqe, Daulton Stringer, Wyatt Juhl, Cole Knaueble, Brandon Holthaus and Colton Pollock all earned third place. Phil Duncan earned fourth place and Alex Neeser took fifth place.


MONTICELLO MAGIC

The Magic topped a pair of foes Section 5AA rival Rockford 57-15 and Minneapolis Washburn 75-6. They dropped a Mississippi 8 Conference dual to rival Big Lake 36-29 and to No. 10 AAA Coon Rapids 38-32. The Magic went 0-4 at the Cambridge-Isanti "Bluejackets duals; where they dropped duals to Cambridge-Isanti No. 5AAA ranked, Perham 39-35 No. 8AA ranked, North Branch 36-26 AA Lean and Mean and to AAA Forest Lake 47-31. Logan Stiller and Zach Beaumaster were both 4-0 at the Bluejacket duals and Carter Barnes, Jake Berthiaume, Seth Gardner, Tevin Zavadil and Brent Riddle were all 3-1. The dropped a Mississippi 8 dual to rival No. 5AAA ranked Cambridge-Isanti 49-18. The Magic did have a great tourney showing with 167 points and eleven place winners to earned third place at the sixteen team South St. Paul "Pete Veldman" Invitational. Jake Berthiaume won their lone championship, Carter Barnes and Zach Beaumaster both earned second place. Logan Stiller and Seth Gardner both earned third place, Tevin Zavadil, Jeremiah Yeats and Brent Riddle all earned fourth place. William Pribyl and Jack Bourgeois were both fifth  and Cooper Hanson took sixth place.

MORA MUSTANGS

The Mustangs dropped a pair of Granite Ridge Conference duals a very close one to No. 3AA ranked Foley 33-30 and to AAA Lean and Mean Little Falls 45-35. They also dropped a dual to No. 9AA ranked New London-Spicer 48-21. They Mustangs topped two Section 7AA rivals Princeton 57-18 and Rush City/Braham 54-21.


FERGUS FALLS OTTERS

The Otters topped Central Lakes Conference rival Rocori 34-33. They went 0-4 at the Pudge Anderson Duals; dropping a dual to Section 8AA rival Thief River Falls 42-22, Kimball 54-22, Wahpeton, ND 33-30 and to AAA Little Falls 48-26. Abbot Aho, Tyler Giza and Abram Aho were all 4-0 and Gus Makovsky went 3-0 at the Pudge Anderson duals. The Otters had a great tourney with 142.5 points to earn second place at the Lake Park "Terry Teiken" Invitational with eight place winners. Abbot Aho and Tyler Giza both won championships and Abram Aho earned second place. Ben Schindler, Walker Heinen and Gus Makovsky all earned third place, Taylor Tenner earned fourth place and Joe Wedll took fifth place.


LITCHFIELD DRAGONS

The Dragons topped three Wright County Conference foes Mound-Westonka 39-35, Delano 48-24 and Orono 47-11. They dropped a conference dual to Waconia 36-22. The Dragons had a great tourney with131.5 points to earn fourth place at the Totino Grace "Eagles" Invitational. Devan Nelson and Nathan King both won championships and Tyler Jones earned second place.  Walker Kaping, Ryan Anderson and Max Kaping  earned third place and Jake Kalkbrenner and Luis Lepe both earned fourth place.



DAWSON-BOYD/LQPV UNITED

The United topped Sauk Centre/Melrose 46-21 in a West Central Conference encounter. They were 3-1 at the Plum Creek Duals with wins over section 3AA foes FMCC 49-22, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 51-25 and Marshall 40-39 and they did dropped one dual to No. 7A ranked Minneota 42-33. Jordan Bothun, Jordan Staab and Brandon Schmidt were all 4-0 and Dan Bothun, Joe Weeding and Dalton Palmer were all 3-1 at the Plum Creek duals. The United had 104.5 points to earned sixth place at the West Central Conference tournament with six place winners, including one championship by Brandon Schmidt. Jordan Staab earned second place, Jordan Bothun, Keith Abraham and Joe Weeding all earned third place and Don Bothun earned fourth place.

MAT RATS TOP CLASS AA TEAMS

FOLEY FALCONS

The Falcons topped Section 6AA rival Becker in a very good dual 38-22. They had a good tournament performance with 115.5 points to earn seventh place at the sixty-five team field of teams at the Fargo "Rumble on The Red". Tyler Funk led the way as he earned third place with a 7-1 mark in the tourney. Tristan Manderfield took eighth place with a 5-2 mark. Tyler Midas had a great tourney as he earned fifth place with a 5-2 mark. Keith Thell went 4-2, Carter Nielson went 3-2, Brandon Halverson went 3-2, Mitch Keeler went 4-2 and Cameron Svihla was 2-2. The Falcons had a very solid tournament performance despite having many of their starters not competing. They earned third place at their "Tom Keating Memorial" Invitational with eight wrestlers placing in the top six in this sixteen team field of teams.  Keith Thell and Tyler Midas won championships and Brandon Halverson earned third place. Tyler Beehler, Luke Kelvington and Mitch Keeler all earned fourth place and Jon Olson took sixth place. The Falcons earned fifth place at the St. Cloud Tech "Kiffmeyer" Duals, despite the fact they had eight starters missing. They dropped their quarterfinal dual to No. 8AAA ranked Hastings 41-17, in the consolation semifinals they topped AAA Sauk Rapids 62-6 and in the fifth place match they topped AAA St. Cloud Apollo 40-24. Mitch Keeler, Mitch Struffert and Randy Jenson were all 3-0 at the Kiffmeyer duals.


NEW LONDON-SPICER WILDCATS

The Wildcats topped Wright County Conference foe Glencoe-Silver Lake 66-9 and they dropped a very close dual to Conference foe and No. 6AA ranked Hutchinson 34-33.They traveled to Fargo, ND to compete in the "Rumble on The Red" Invitational where they earned 60 points with two place winners; Tretyon Austvold earned sixth place with a 6-2 mark and Grant Vagle took eighth place with a 4-3 mark. Thomas Stageberg went 3-2 and Logan Brink went 2-2 at the tourney. The Wildcats had a great tournament performance with 184 points to earn second place at the Perham "Barrel of Fun" Invitational. They had a total of thirteen place winners including one championship by Jakob Stageberg. Jacob Travis and Oden Rogers both earned second place and Treyton Austvold earned third place. Thomas Stageberg, Jarrett Hatlestad, Grant Vagle, Brandon Kinsley and Ricky Berry all earned fourth place. Logan Brink, Cameron Steffen, Corbin Schwartz and Luke Gould all took fifth place. They split section 6AA duals, they topped Dassel-Cokato 50-15 before dropping a close one to Litchfield 37-36.

BECKER BULLDOGS

The Bulldogs traveled to Fargo, ND to compete in the "Rumble on the Red" Invitational.  They had several wrestlers have good performance, one place winner Colten Vekved earned fourth place with a 5-2 mark. Luke Schmalz had a 3-2 mark, Zack Zimmer had a 3-2 mark and Bobby Lee had a 2-2 mark in this sixty-five team field of teams. They dropped a dual to Section 6AA and Granite Ridge Conference rival Foley 38-22 in a very exciting dual. They topped Granite Ridge foe Mora 40-28 with an excellent performance. The Bulldogs had an excellent tourney performance at the BBE Jaguar Invite as they earned third place with 149 points and ten wrestlers placing in the top four. Luke Schmalz won a championship and Lee Schmalz, Cody Ferris, Zach Zimmer and Colton Vekved all earned second place. Caleb Vekved, Bobby Lee, Brady Kurtz and Brady Halvorson all earned third place and C. J. Schwintek took fourth place. At the "Bulldog" Duals they topped three foes; AAA Blaine 56-18, AAA St. Paul Johnson 72-6 and Section 6AA foe Litchfield 45-27. The Bulldogs had several wrestlers that were 3-0 including; Zack Zimmer, Eric Dudek, Colton Vekved, Bobby Lee,  Kriston Gummon, Cody Ferris and Lee Schmalz. 
ANNANDALE/MAPLE LAKE LIGHTING
The Lighting topped Wright County Conference rival Glencoe-Silver Lake 60-8 and they dropped a dual to Wright County Conference and No. 6AA ranked Hutchinson 34-30 in a very exciting dual. They had a good tourney performance with 166.5 points to earn fourth place at the Mora "Mustangs" Invitational. Joe Mosley and Jordan Hanan both won championships and Teddy Erickson and Justin Lehtola both earned second place. Hunter Hicks earned third place and Spencer Odgen and Tom Condon both earned fourth place. Cullen Gallagher and Nate Carlson both took fifth place. The Lighting had a great showing as they went 3-1 at the Monticello "Magic" Duals with wins over AAA Lean and Mean Willmar 36-27; No. 10AA Monticello 32-31 and AAA Hopkins 51-16. Their only loss on the day was to the No. 6AAA ranked Shakopee 45-24. Joe Mosley, Jordan Hanan, Teddy Erickson and Spencer Odgen were all 4-0 and Tanner Vasser and Nick Anderson were both 3-1.
MILACA WOLVES
The Wolves topped Granite Ridge Conference foe Little Falls 38-28 and Section 7AA foe Cloquet 59-9. They did drop a section 7AA dual to Chisago Lakes 32-29 in a very close dual, considering the Wolves were minus two starters. They topped Granite Ridge Conference foe Zimmerman 39-28. They earned third place with a 2-1 mark at the Farmington "Tiger" Duals with wins over AAA Park High School 39-28 and Northfield 35-19. They dropped a dual to No. 8A ranked Chatfield 48-21. Hunter Noor, Josh Otten and Brandon Merten were all 3-0 at the Tiger Duals.
PEQUOT LAKES/PINE RIVER/BACKUS ROAD CREW

The Road Crew topped Section 8AA rivals Thief River Falls 46-30, Staples-Motley 49-19 and Park Rapids 61-9. They also topped  three of Class A rivals Royalton 49-12, Crosby-Ironton 50-30 and Blackduck/Cass Lake/Bena 52-22.  They did drop a big Section 8AA dual to Perham 42-27, where the Road Crew was minus a couple of their starters. CHISAGO LAKES WILDCATS
The Wildcats topped Conference rivals Fridley 59-18 and Spring Lake Park 57-19. In a huge Section 7AA dual they topped rival Milaca 31-29. They went 2-1 at the Hibbing "Blue Jacket" Duals with wins over AAA Bemidji 39-31 and AAA Mound-Westonka 36-35. They dropped a dual to AAA Centennial 37-33. Dylan Connell, Quade Zupko, Joe Virga, Mark Sontag and Jonah Westbury were all  3-0 at the duals. They dropped a conference dual to rival Totino Grace 39-29. They earned third place at the Pine City/Hinckley-Finlayson "Dragon" Invitational with 135.5 points. Dylan Connell, Quade Zupko, Joe Virga and Jonah Westbury all won championships and Aaron Sistrunk and Eric Brown both earned third place. Solomon Lunde and Sean Hoyt both took fifth place.

MONTICELLO MAGIC
The Magic topped Mississippi 8 Conference rival Buffalo 66-18. They had a good performance with 122 points to earned sixth place at the Foley "Tom Keating Memorial" Tournament. They had seven place winners in this good field of sixteen teams. Tevin Zavadil earned second place; Logan Stiller, Zach Beaumaster, Jake Berthiaume and Seth Gardner all earned third place. Connor Adrian earned fourth place and Brent Riddle took sixth place. The Magic went 2-2 at the dual meet invitational with win over AAA Hopkins 60-18 and Alexandria 31-30. They lost to AA Lean and Mean Annandale/Maple Lake 32-31 and to AAA Faribault 36-31. Tevin Zavadil and Jay Yeats were both 4-0 at the Magic duals.

GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE PANTHERS
The Panthers dropped  two Wright County Conference duals to New London-Spicer 66-9 and Annandale-Maple Lake 60-8. They did top Section 2AA rival Waconia 42-30 and Class A LeSueur-Henderson 60-12. They dropped a dual to Wright County Conference, Section 2AA No. 6AA ranked Hutchinson 52-23. The Panthers got back some of their ailing wrestlers in the past week as shown with their win over Waconia. They also earned a tournament championship at the Ogilvie "Lions" Invitational with 221 points. The claimed seven championships by: Jacob Jewett, Michael Connay, Brandon Richer, Nate Tesch, Mitchell Hartwig, John Williams and Dalton Clouse. Peyton Sal earned second place and Aaron Donnay, Kyle Polzin and Nick Jenkins earned third Place. Dalton Kosek and Martin Lezama both earned fourth place and Chris Lemke took fifth place. The Panthers topped a pair of Wright County Conference rivals Delano 63-11 and Orono 58-15. For the second weekend in a row they won a tourney championship with 226.5 points thirteen placing in the top four. The Panthers topped the field of teams at the Zimmerman "Thunder" Invitational with three championships by Jacob Jewett, Michael Donnay and Mitchell Hartwig. Aaron Donnay, Brandon Richter, Nate Tesch, Dalton Clouse and Chris Lemke all earned second place. Nick Brelje, Tristian Weber and Ray Eberhard all earned third place and Dalton Kosek and Martin Lezama both earned fourth place.

NORTH BRANCH VIKINGS
The Vikings topped conference rival Columbia Heights 55-24. They earned fifth place with 122.5 points at the Foley "Tom Keating Memorial" Invitational with six place winners. Sam Peltier and Levi Eastwood both won championships and Zack Sundly and Reid Johnson both earned third place. Aaron Senne earned fourth place and Seamus Hunter took fifth place. The Vikings earned second place at the Moundview "Mustang" Duals with wins over Tartan 61-6 and Park Center 71-6 before dropping the championship to the No. 7AAA ranked Owatonna 50-18. Reid Johnson, Aaron Senne and Eric Bergstrom were all 3-0 at the Mustang duals.  

FERGUS FALLS OTTERS
The Otters dropped a Central Lakes Conference duals to Brainerd 41-27, Alexandria 47-22 and to No. 3A ranked Frazee 51-12. They earned fifth place at the Benson "Braves Classic" Invitational with 123 points and seven wrestlers placing in the top three. Abbot Aho won their lone championship and for his performance he was voted the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. Tyler Giza and Gus Makavsky both earned second place and four Otters earned third place; Spencer Sikkink, Ben Schindler, Walter Keinen and Abram Aho.

MORA MUSTANGS
The Mustangs topped Class A rival Mille Lacs 64-18 and they dropped a pair of duals to Granite Ridge Conference foe Becker 40-28 and to No. 8A ranked Pierz 54-15. They had a very good tournament performance as they earned 175.5 points to earned second place at their "Mustang" Invitational with ten wrestlers placing in the top five. Codi LaFromboise and Jordan Tober both won championships. For Codi's effort the coaches voted him the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament. Ken Kastenbauer earned second place, Brandon Lucking and Austin Richards both earned third place and Tomas Hisher took fourth place. Blake Poole, Reed Gmuhl, Jordan Koch and Brady Beier all took fifth place.

DAWSON-BOYD/LQPV UNITED
The United topped Section 3AA rivals TMB 47-22 and Quad County 36-34 and they dropped a dual to West Central Conference rival and No. 2A ranked Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 47-17. They earned fifth place at the Montevideo "Dave Roder" Invitational with 90 points and eight placing in the top five. Jordan Staab and Brandon Schmitt both won championships, Wyatt Ireland, Joe Weeding and Jordan Bothun all earned third place.  Keith Abraham and Don Bothun both earned fourth place and Payton Mortenson took fifth place.

LITCHFIELD DRAGONS
The Dragons topped Wright County Conference and Section 6AA rival Dassel Cokato 50-25 and three other Section 6AA rivals Princeton 57-15, Albany 36-13 and Zimmerman 57-21. They dropped duals to AAA Lean and Mean Little Falls 63-12 and to No. 8A ranked Pierz 34-23. The Dragons topped Wright County Conference and Section 6AA rival No. 8AA ranked New London-Spicer 37-36 and they dropped a dual to another conference and section rival A Lean and Mean Annandale/Maple 39-27. The Dragons went 1-2 at the Becker Duals with a win over the Becker Junior Varsity 58-15, they dropped duals to No. 9AA ranked Becker 45-27 and to AAA Blaine 39-32. Tyler Jones and Walker Kaping both won all three of their matches at the Becker duals.

MAT RATS TOP CLASS A TEAMS
ATWATER-COSMOS-GROVE CITY FALCONS
The Falcons topped West Central Conference rivals Morris Area 68-6, Dawson-Boyd/LQPV 47-17, Melrose/Sauk Centre 69-6 and Section 5A rivals Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 52-16 and Eden Valley-Watkins 64-9. The Falcons earned the championship at the Montevideo "Dave Roder" Invitational with 191. 5 points and all fourteen wrestlers placing in the top five. Logan Peterson, Larry Bomstad and Maverick Whitcomb won championships and Lucas Damm, Rylan Molinaro and Tyler Berghuis all earned second place. Jordan Fester, Jordan Nelson, Lee Whitcomb and Ethan Housman all earned third place. Mathew Whitcomb, Jesse Rogers and Derek Dengerud all earned fourth place and Robert Rasmussen took fifth place. They Falcons traveled to Foley to competed in a sixteen team field of teams in the "Tom Keating Memorial" Invitational and they had a great showing with 223.5 points to earned the championship. They had twelve place in the top six including three championships by Robert Rasmussen, Larry Bomstad and Lucas Damm. Logan Peterson, Maverick Whitcomb and Jordan Nelson earned second place and Mathew Whitcomb earned third place. Derek Dengerud and Rylan Molinaro both earned fourth place. Jordan Fester, Cameron Whitcomb and Jacob Peterson all took sixth place. The Falcons had three milestone winners at the Foley tourney; Larry Bomstad won his 150th career match, Logan Peterson won his 125th career match and Lucas Damm won his 75th career match.
KERKHOVEN-MURDOCK-SUNBURG FIGHTING SAINTS
The Fighting Saints topped AA ranked rival New London-Spicer 35-21 and they dropped a dual to Section 3A No. 4A ranked Wabasso/Red Rock Central 31-29. They topped the field of teams at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa "Jaguar" Invitational with 184.5 points and twelve placing in the top four. Cody Peters, Zach Carlson, Jordon Rothers, Chase Norton, Karter VanHeuveln and Jordan Engler all won championships. Nick Meyer and Jorge Munoz-Peterson both earned second place and Brandon Dahl and Kyle Baker both earned third place. Casey Thorson and Austin Rothers both took fourth place.

PIERZ PIONEERS
The Pioneers topped AA rival Mora 54-15;  Class A Lean and Mean United North Central 38-28, Class A rival Osakis 54-24. They topped a pair of Central Minnesota Conference rivals Eden Valley-Watkins 72-19 and Rockford 72-7. The Pioneers with their best lineup thus far this season  at the Little Falls quadrangular, topped AAA Lean and Mean Little Falls 37-32, AA Litchfield 34-23 and AA Albany 51-6. Kolten Eischens, Chris Ortman, Evan Woitala, Brad Meyers, Josh Lanners and Nick Lochner all were 3-0 at the quad in Little Falls.

HOLDINGFORD HUSKIERS
The Huskers topped three class A foes; Minnewaska 62-12, Long Prairie/Grey Eagle 55-18 and Howard Lake/Waverly/Winsted 60-6. They earned seventh place at the sixteen team field of teams in the Foley "Tom Keating Memorial" Invitational with seven placing in the top six. Zach Scott and Kyle Kolstad earned second place and Mitch Messman earned fourth place. Jake Knettel, Trevor Scott and Mitch Merten all earned fifth place and Kyle Gerads took sixth place. The Huskers topped  AAA foe St. Cloud Apollo 45-28 in Holdingford's pack the gym night. They had an estimated crowd of around 8oo people.

UNITED NORTH CENTRAL WARRIORS
The Warriors topped Park Region Conference foe Osakis 57-30, Section 8A rival Walker-Hackensack/Ackeley/Nevis 69-9 and AA Staples-Motley 64-6. They dropped a very close dual to Park Region Conference rival New York Mills 34-32. The Warriors had a very impressive showing at the Perham "Barrel of Fun" Invitational with 179.5 points to earned fourth place. They had ten place in the top five including three championships by Max Pajari, Taylor Carlson and Jake Malone. Max was named the Outstanding Wrestling of the tourney for his great performance. Mike Johnson earned second place, Toby Hintzman, Sam Tellers and Dylan Huttunen all earned third place. Tanner Bacon earned fourth place and Wyatt Puttonen and Tristan Palmer both took fifth place.

NEW YORK MILLS EAGLES
The Eagles topped  Section 6A rival Pelican Rapids 48-27 and both Section 6A and Park Region Conference rivals West Central Area 58-18, Prairie Valley 49-6 and Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale in a very good dual 37-31. The Eagles had a very good showing with 158 points to earned fifth place at the Perham "Barrel of Fun" tournament with nine wrestlers placing in the top five. Three championships by Shane Novak, Max Carlson and Kacee Skoog and Gunner Flynn, Noah Pesola and Tyler Patron all earned third place. Tyler Ehnert and Taylor Ericksrud both earned fourth place and Cole Grabow took fifth place. The Eagles dropped a dual to Highway 10 rival; No. 11AA ranked Perham 42-24.

BELGRADE-BROOTEN-ELROSA JAGUARS
The Jaguars topped Section 5A rival Eden Valley-Watkins 46-27 and AA foe Melrose/Sauk Centre 59-9. They dropped a dual to Section 5A and ranked 2A Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 52-16. They had a good tourney performance as they scored 100 points to earned fifth place at their "Jaguar" Invitational. Patrick Rooney won the championship at 182; his performance was so impressive he was voted by the coaches the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament. Tyler Tensen earned second place and Josey Tensen, Austin Jaeger, Alex Schramel and Ben Fauerhake all earned third place and Adam Jaeger took fourth place.

BORDER WEST BUCCUNEERS
The Buccuneers topped Section 6A rival Pelican Rapids 35-32 and South Dakota rival Sisseton 46-24. They earned fourth place at the Montevideo "Dave Roder" Invitational with 98.5 points and eight placing in the top five. Cameron Sykora, Gus McCarthy and Austin Maanum all won championships and Nick Stafford earned second place. Jamie Wenker and Seth Callenius both earned fourth place and Mason Pullis and Josh Stueve both took fifth place. They had a very good tourney performance with 143 points and seven in the top five to earn second place at the Benson "Braves Classic" Invitational. Cameron Sykora, Gus McCarthy and Austin Maanum all won championships. Tracer Lee, Dylan Pullis and Carter Behrens all earned fourth place and Wyatt Tritz took fifth place.

KIMBALL AREA CUBS
The Cubs topped Section 5A rivals Eden Valley-Watkins 42-33 and Paynesville 54-21 and in a big win over AAA Lean and Mean Wayzata 362-7. They had a 2-4 mark at "The Clash" National duals hosted in Rochester. They topped AAA Forest lake 37-36 and AAA Burnsville 41-30. They did drop duals to No. 1AAA Saint Michael-Albertville 62-6, Lake Stevens, WA. 51-16 and Rochester Mayo 36-33 and in a clash of Class A teams they lost to Zumbrota-Mazeppa 44-21. Blane Tschida was 5-1, Quinten Barres was 4-1, Travis Wills was 5-1, Tim Konz was 5-1, Marcus Mehr was 4-2, Brady Mehr was 3-3 and Austyn Schlueter was 3-3 at The Clash. The Cubs traveled to Cannon Falls to compete in the "Bombers" Invitational where they earned 130 points to take sixth place. Blane Tschida and Travis Wills both won championships, Austyn Schlueter and Tim Konz both earned second place and Marcus Mehr earned third place. They topped Class A foe Royalton 39-37.

OSAKIS SILVERSTREAKS
The Silverstreaks topped Park Region Conference rivals Browerville 55-19 and Royalton 49-20. They did drop a dual to a Park Region Conference rival United North Central 51-30. They lost to the No. 8A ranked Pierz 54-24.

BERTHA-HEWITT/VERNDALE RAIDERS
The Raiders topped two Park Region Conference rivals Browerville 66-12 and West Central Area 69-9 and Section 6A rival Wadena-Deer Creek 75-0. The dropped a pair of duals to Section 6A foes New York Mills 37-31 and  Barnesville 52-10. The Raiders had a very good tournament showing as they scored 118 points to earn fourth place at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa "Jaguar" Invitational. Dillon Card and Hunter Truax both won championships and Nick Bennett and Dalton Baker both earned second place. Anthony Kern earned third place and Justin Gordon, Hayden Truax and John French all earned fourth place.

AITKIN GOBBLERS
The Gobblers topped Great River Conference foe Ogilvie 59-18. They earned fifth place at the Mora "Mustang" Invitational with 155.5 points and eight place winners. Brian Wold, Jerold Novak and Isaac Novak all won championships and Jack Braton earned second place. Tyler Bare, Dan Nordean and Noah Landrus all earned third place and Caleb Curtiss took fifth place.


EDEN VALLEY-WATKINS EAGLES
The Eagles topped Section 5A rival Paynesville 36-32, AAA rival Rocori 40-33  and Central Minnesota Conference foe Rockford 66-12. They did drop a dual to the No. 8A ranked Central Minnesota Conference foe Pierz 72-19. They had an outstanding tourney performance with 170.5 points to earned the championship at the Norwood Young America "Central" Invitational. Austin Peterson, Cain Renner and Zach Blonigan all won championships and Tyler Donnay and Luke Kuechle both earned second place. Donavin McCann and Lyle Miller both earned third place and Grant Winter and Hunter Mathies both earned fourth place.

PAYNESVILLE BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs topped West Central Conference rival Bold 335-27 and they dropped duals to Section 5A rival Kimball, AAA Wayzata 49-23, Class A Lean and Mean Canby 52-15, Section 5A Eden Valley-Watkins 36-32. They went 1-2 at the Farmington "Tiger" Duals win a win over AAA Farmington 40-34 and they dropped duals to AAA Park High School 35-30 and to AAA Northfield 42-33. Clay Spanier and Frank Christian both were 3-0 at the Tiger Duals.


MAT RATS CLASS AAA TEAMS

SAINT MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE KNIGHTS
The Knights topped the field of teams at the Rochester "The Clash" Dual invitational with at 6-0 mark. They defeated in pool action Class A Lean and Mean Kimball 62-6, 17th National ranked Oak Park River Forest, ILL 28-16, 26th National ranked Carl Sandberg, Ill. 27-26, 11th National ranked Montini Catholic of Ill. 34-21 and No. 5 National ranked Brandon, Florida 33-21. Mitchell Eull was 5-0, Michael Kessler was 5-1, Ricky Braggs was 5-1, Mark Voss was 5-1, Tommy Thorn was 5-1, Mitchell McKee was 4-2, Lincoln Mallnger was 4-2, Cole Sladek was 3-2, Ryan Rostamo was 3-3 and Aaron Dick was 3-3. Because of their outstanding performance at the The Clash the Knights have the No. 4 national ranking and No. 1AAA ranked in Minnesota. They topped No. 5AA Scott West 55-9 and Mississippi 8 Conference foes Monticello 61-9 and Big Lake 55-12. The Knights earned yet another championship  as they topped three foes to claim the championship of the St. Cloud Tech. "Kiffmeyer" Duals. In the quarterfinals they topped AAA Sauk Rapids 54-3, No. 8AAA Hastings in the semifinals 51-18 and No. 4AAA ranked Albert Lea in the championship 40-9. They had five wrestlers that were 3-0 at the Kiffmeyer duals; Mitchell Mckee, Cole Sladek, Jake Briggs, Ricky Briggs and Michael Kessler. Special congratulations goes out the Mitchell McKee as he won his 100th career match in the quarterfinals of the Kiffmeyer duals.

CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI BLUEJACKETS
The Bluejackets topped Mississippi 8 Conference rivals Buffalo 73-0 and Rogers 62-9. No. 7AAA ranked Owatonna 36-25 and Section 7AAA foe St. Francis 48-26. They had a very impressive showing at the Fargo "Rumble on the Red" Invitational where they earned fourth place in this sixty-five field of teams with 154 points. Travis Holt won their only championships with a 6-0 mark and Cody Skog earned third place with a 5-1 mark. Ty Torgerson earned fourth place with a 6-2 mark and Monty Frederikson earned eighth place with a 3-3 mark. Brady Kuntz, Travis Swanson, Russell Laboe, Dakota Johnson and Derick Demars all were 2-2 at the Rumble on the Red. The Bluejackets had a great tourney as they earned second place with 196.6 points at their Bluejacket invitational behind No. 3AAA ranked Prior Lake. Travis Holt and Cody Skog both won championships and Tommy Guy and Dakota Johnson both earned second place. Brady Kuntz, Nate Nassif, Codie Auren and Kyle Chromy all earned third place. Earning fourth place were James Frederickson, David Kent, Russel LaBue and Derrick Demars. They had a good tournament performance as they earned third place at the St. Cloud Tech. "Kiffmeyer" Duals with big win over AAA Tech 67-9, they dropped a close dual to No. 4AAA ranked Albert Lea in the semifinals 34-31. In the third place match the Bluejackets topped No. 8AAA ranked Hastings 30-18.

LITTLE FALLS FLYERS
The Flyers topped Section 8AAA rivals Sartell 57-10 and St. Cloud Tech 56-22. They dropped a dual to Granite Ridge Conference foe Milaca 38-28 in a very close dual. They went 2-1 in their Flyer Quadrangular with wins over AA Litchfield 63-12 and AA Albany 69-8, they dropped a dual to No. 8A rival Pierz 37-32. Leo Wilcez, Logan Kopphahn, Connor Scherping and Connor Swanson were all 3-0 at the quad. The Flyers had a good performance with 142 points to earned third place at the Cambridge-Isanti "Bluejacket" Invitational. Justin Jenks and Connor Swanson both won championships and Logan Kapphahn and Connor Scherping both earned second place. Tryston Ross earned third place and Derek McMahon earned fourth place. Taking fifth place were Josh Beack, Axel Lange and Keith Yorek.

MOORHEAD SPUDS
The Spuds dropped duals to Badger-Greenbush-Middle River 51-12 and to Section 8AAA foe Bemidji 36-25. They had a very close dual with then nationally ranked West Fargo 37-32. They had a good showing at the Fargo "Rumble on the Red" Invitational with 98 points for thirteenth place out of sixty-five teams. Chase Morlock earned third place with a 6-1 mark, A. J. Wheeler and Joe Carpenter both earned fourth place with 5-2 marks, Tommy Wychor went 3-2, Sam Grove went 3-2 and Kenny Mark and Jacob Rositas both went 2-2. The Spuds had a great tournament performance with 213.5 points to earned the championship at the Perham "Barrel of Fun" Invitational. Chase  Morlock, Joe Carpenter and Grant Brendemuhl all won championships and Kenny Mark, Joseph Grove, Sam Grove and A. J. Wheeler all earned second place. Ethan Tallakson and Tommy Wychor both earned third place and Landon Dickhaus, Taylor Laidlaw and Brody Jerome all took fifth place. They topped AA Lean and Mean Detroit Lakes 36-26 and Class A rival Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 52-6.

WILLMAR CARDINALS
The Cardinals topped Central Lakes Conference foes Brainerd 33-27 and St. Cloud Apollo 49-30, they did fall to Conference rival Alexandria 30-31. They topped Section 6AAA rival Mound-Westonka 34-27 and AA foe Waconia 42-24. The Cardinals went 1-3 at the Monticello "Magic" Duals with one win over Section 6AAA rival Hopkins 53-12. They dropped a dual to AA Lean and Mean Annandale/Maple 36-27, No. 6AAA Shakopee 45-21 and to AAA Lean and Mean Faribault 35-31. Zach Leuders, Austin Miley, Travis Deegan and Cass Herzog were all 4-0 and Vaughn Johnson was 3-1 at the Monticello "Magic" Duals.

ALEXANDRIA CARDINALS
The Cardinals topped four Central Lakes Conference rivals; Fergus Falls 47-22, Rocori 47-19, Sauk Rapids 36-33 and Willmar 31-30 in a very exciting dual. They earned ninth place with 86 points at the Foley "Tom Keating Memorial" Invitational. Trent Piepenbrug and Justin Cumberbatch both won championships, Ben Bogart earned fifth place and Blake Olhausen took sixth place. The Cardinals went 2-2 at the Monticello "Magic" Duals with wins over Faribault 42-24 and Hopkins 39-26. They dropped duals to No. 6AAA Shakopee 30-22 and to No. 11AA Monticello 39-24. Trent Piepenburg, Tony Hubbard and Justin Cumberbatch were all 4-0 and Dylan Kriese, Mike Schluter and Shawn Nelson were all 3-1 at the Magic duals.

BRAINERD WARRIORS
The Warriors topped Central Lakes Conference rival Fergus Falls 41-27 and they dropped a close dual to conference rival Willmar 33-27. The Warriors took seventh place with 81 points at the Cambridge-Isanti "Bluejacket" Invitational with ten place winners. Jeff Flickinger, Levi Rubin, Casey Biever and Sam Adams all earned second place. Luke Boran earned third place and Bryton Mutz, Andy Schlosser and Dan Babineau all earned fourth place. Tommy Schlosser and Chris Laber took fifth place.

SARTELL SABRES
The Sabres topped Central Lakes Conference foe Sauk Rapids 41-25 and St. Cloud Tech 44-21. They dropped duals to AAA Lean and Mean Little Falls 57-10 and to Class A Royalton 35-30. They had a great tourney performance with 197 points to earn second place at the Ogilvie "Lions" Invitational. Drew Bienusa, Zach Pederson, Daniel Vitale and Nick Jensen all won championships. Noah Piechel, Jon Pelach, Zach Motschke, Garrett Counter and Creedance McDermond all earned second place. Rylee Moliter and Theo Deuel both earned third place and Sam Krauel took fourth place.
BEMIDJI LUMBERJACKS
The Lumberjacks topped a very good Section 8AAA rival Moorhead 36-25, lostBadger-Greenbush-Middle River No. 12 A ranked 35-33, to No. 11AA ranked Perham 58-17 and to AA Lean and Mean Thief River Falls 42-23. They went 1-3 at the Hibbing "Bluejacket" Duals with a big win over Mound-Westonka 44-30 and they dropped duals to AAA Lean and Mean Centennial 46-22 and to AA Lean and Mean Chisago Lakes 39-31.

SAINT CLOUD APOLLO EAGLES
The Eagles topped Central Lakes Conference rival Rocori 44-30 and they lost to Conference rivals Willmar 49-30 and St. Cloud Tech 34-31. The Eagles had three place winners at the Fargo "Rumble on the Red" Invitational to earned 20th place with 79 points in a field of sixty-five teams.  Mitch Bengston won the championship at 138 pounds with a 6-0 mark. Mitch was also named the Outstanding wrestler of this huge tournament. Bryce Kirchner earned second place with a 4-1 mark and Matt Braun earned 7th place with a 6-2 mark. They had a great tournament performance with 158 points to earned second place at the Foley "Tom Keating Memorial" Invitational. Matt Braun, Mitch Bengtson and Grant Nehring all won championships and Peter Nelson and Bryce Kirchner both earned second place. Congratulations to Matt Braun as he won his 75th career match at the Foley tourney. They dropped a dual to Class A Lean and Mean Holdingford 45-28; before a estimated crowd of 800 people. The Eagles went 1-2 at the St. Cloud Tech "Kiffmeyer" Duals with a win over cross town rival St. Cloud Tech 51-13. They dropped their quarter-final dual they lost to No. 4AAA ranked Albert Lea 57-21 and in the fifth place dual they lost to No. 3AA ranked Foley 40-24. Bryce Kirchner, Grant Nehring and Peter Nelson were all 3-0 at the Kiffmeyer duals.

SAUK RAPIDS STORM
The Storm split Central Lakes Conference duals; they topped St. Cloud Tech 41-28 and Rocori 48-28. They lost to Sartell 41-25 and Alexandria 36-33. They had three place winners at the Foley "Tom Keating Memorial" Tournament. Austin Walz and Chris Keske both earned second place and Dylan Vait earned third place at this sixteen team event. The Storm has a 1-2 mark at the St. Cloud Tech "Kiffmeyer" Duals with a win over cross town rival St. Cloud Tech 57-20 to earn seventh place. They lost to No. 1AAA ranked Saint Michael-Albertville in the quarterfinals 53-3 and to No. 3AA ranked Foley in the consolation semifinals 62-6.  Chris Keske won all three of his matches at the Kiffmeyer duals.

ELK RIVER ELKS
The Elks topped conference rival Champlin Park 34-30. They had one place winner at the Fargo "Rumble on the Red' Invitational; Evan Caldon earned fifth place with a 6-2 mark and Cole Moening went 2-2 at the Rumble on the Red. The Elks had a great tournament performance with 184.5 points to earned second place at the St. Francis "Fighting Saints" Invitational. Garrett Caldon was their lone champion and Ben Gibas, Cole Moening, Evan Caldon, Kyle Ziemer and Garrett Van Eps all earned second place. Ryan Osberg, Jacob Brown and William Saunders all earned third place and Andrew Perry and Trevor Brink both earned fourth place.

ST. CLOUD TECH TIGERS
The Tigers topped a pair of Central Lakes Conference rivals Rocori 39-33 and in a very exciting dual over cross town rival St. Cloud Apollo 34-31. They dropped a conference duals to Sauk Rapids 41-28, Sartell 44-21 and to Section 8AAA rival Little Falls 56-22. They had one place winner at the Fargo "Rumble on the Red" Invitational as Jerrad Nieland earned fourth place with a 4-2 mark in this sixty-five team field of teams. The Tigers earned 101 points to earn seventh place at the Mora "Mustang" Invitational. Jerrad Nieland won their only championship, Austin Brenner earned second place, Cole Schreder earned third place, Noah Voight earned fourth place and Patrick Niehaus took fifth place. They went 0-3 at their dual meet invite "Kiffmeyer" Duals. They dropped their quarterfinal dual to No. 5AAA ranked Cambridge-Isanti 67-9, in the Consolation semifinals St. Cloud Apollo 51-13 and to Sauk Rapids 57-20 in the seventh place dual.

ROGERS ROYALS
The Royals topped AA rivals Brooklyn Center 46-12, Spectrum 63-18 and AAA foe Park Center 46-13. Kyler Swanson, Philip Anderson, Conner Larson, Cruz Martinez, Jake Owen, Steffen Paige and Jordan Lemcke were all 3-0 at their quadrangular. Kyler Swanson won his 100th career match at the quad. They topped Columbia Heights and Robbinsdale Armstrong 36-25 and dropped a dual to Champlin Park at the Champlin Quad. Connor Larson, Phillip Anderson, Kyler Swanson and Ryan Lien were all 3-0 at the quad. They dropped a pair of duals to Cambridge-Isanti 62-9 and Saint Francis 51-14. The Royals earned seventh place at the Zimmerman "Thunder" Invitational with 64 points. Peter Oakland won their only championship, Andrew Piehl earned second place, Connor Larson earned fourth place and Brandon Magnuson and Jordan Bond both took fifth place. The Royals earned third place with 161 points at the Brooklyn Center "Centuer" Invitational. Cruz Martinez won their only championship, Phillip Anderson and Ryan Lien both earned third place. Connor Larson, Tyler Eicher and Andrew Piehl earned fourth place and Jake Owens took fifth place.

ROCORI SPARTANS
The Spartans topped Section 6AAA foe Buffalo 40-32 and they dropped duals to Central Lakes Conference rivals Sauk Rapids 48-28, St. Cloud Tech 39-33, St. Cloud Apollo 44-30 and Alexandria 47-19.


BUFFALO BISON
The Bison dropped duals to Section 6AAA foe Rocori 40-32 and they topped Section 6AAA foe Robbinsdale 45-30. They lost to rival Mississippi 8 Conference rival Monticello 66-18. They had two place winners at the Foley "Tom Keating Memorial" Invitational. Adam Treptau earned third place and he also won his 60th career match. Hunter earned fourth place at the Foley tourney. The Bison earned sixth place at the St. Francis "Fighting Saints" Invitational with 88 points. Adam Treptau won their only championship and Jonathon Wirkkala earned third place. Joe O'Flanagan, Ian Scherber and Josh Anderson all earned fourth place and Matt Ruh and Wyatt Jacobson-Hanson both took fifth place.
